Traditional vs Digital Jukeboxes

Over the past few years traditional jukeboxes are almost non existent in the entertainment industry. Due to ever growing technology our cd jukeboxes have been replaced with digital jukeboxes. As much as I love digital technology, there is something about a traditional jukebox that I miss. Maybe it’s the perusing of finding a good find or forgetting about a certain cd or song that I wouldn’t have thought of. I have noticed there are a few selected bars still keeping the traditional way of listening to music alive, I just wish there were more of them.

Pros & Cons of the digital jukebox:
Pro-being able to download anything you want
Con-having to pay extra to download a song

Pro-making your song priority
Con-other people making their songs priority

Pro-easy to find an artist
Con-can not peruse thru the list

Pros & Cons of a traditional jukebox:

Pro-being able to go thru the whole library
Con-not finding anything good in its library

Pro-“first come first serve” no one pushing their songs in front of yours
Con-having someone putting in $5 of crap to listen to before your songs play

Pro-having the whole album right in front of you
Con-bars using burned cds

Pro-finding something new or something you haven’t listened to in ages

  1. Cheap bars using burned cds!?!?! What, they couldn’t put music from their own collection in there at the very least.

I think people play all the songs nobody wants to hear and make them a priority on purpose.
