Naper Days-Gin Blossoms & One Lone Car
The Naper Settlement-Naperville, IL
Naper Settlement is a 13-acre outdoor museum in the heart of downtown Naperville. The settlement hosted Naper Days that included The Taste of Naperville that brings in tasty foods from local restaurants. The fest had everything from food, drinks, music, DDR, Guitar Hero, Rock Band & its very own petting zoo! While visiting the petting zoo a mama goat got loose, but no need to worry she was caught safe & sound.

The entertainment for the evening was One Lone Car & a small band called the Gin Blossoms. I have to say One Lone Car maybe one of my new favorite bands. I enjoyed every song in their set. They are a rock band from St. Louis, Missouri who is on tour with the Gin Blossoms. Check them out www.onelonecar.com
In our day in age of Pro Tools & other audio editing systems the Gin Blossoms are one of the few bands that sound exactly like they do on their albums. It was amazing!! After the first few songs the stage lost the lights but the sound was fine so the band played on. Robin was excellent & very interactive with the crowd. He even passed out tambourines to some VIP kids & dubbed them the Earth, Wind, & Fire tambourine section.
They played my favorite songs including; Hey Jealousy, Until I Fall Away, Allison Road, Til I Hear From You, & Found Out About You.
The Gin Blossoms came out for an encore & played a cover of Elton John’s Rocket Man & another one of my favorites Follow You Down.
