Ahh…Chris Cornell. You may know him from Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Audioslave, or maybe just from some of his solo work and the James Bond movie theme song. He’s out supporting his latest solo release Carry On that features the cover of Michael Jackson’s “Billy Jean”. This is also as American Idol failed to recognize as Chris’s arrangement, but that’s another story.

There are still dates left to catch Chris on the Projekt Revolution Tour (after the jump). His set never disappoints. His voice just gets more powerful the further he gets into the set. For example, by the time he finished his set in Vegas last November his voice started chipping the paint off the venue walls. He’s just that good.

Read on after the jump for the setlist and more photos.

Thanks for the great review and pics. I saw him in November and I think I got hit by some of that paint!
I just saw him solo in Vegas and, you’re right, he never disappoints and his new songs just flowed with the rest of them. Great shows. Great artist.

never disappoints is right! Short and sweet review, great pics, thanks so much for sharing….I just saw him last weekend and he totally delivered!!!! The newer material is a different direction overall but really not THAT much of a departure.(listen to his last Audioslave CD!!)…he is proof that we can get better as we get older!!!

I just got back from the Alpine Valley concert. Chris and the guys were fabulous. He played “Scream” for the first time live (I believe.) This is turning out to be one of my favorite songs out of the five that are floating around.

Chris’ voice was pristine and he was reaching every high note he attempted. I do believe his vocals rival his Soundgarden days.

  4. I used to work at Alpine. Great Venue. Chris’s voice has just developed so much through the years. If there was a top 10 frontman/woman of all time he would make the cut for me.

  5. JoAnne Paolucci says:

Been a fan of Cornells for twenty years and I’ve never seen a bad performance.
Caught Projekt Revolution last month and Chris solo last year-nine times!!!-voice was stellar, great stage presence. He is genetically engineered to be a rock star!!! (I read that somewhere)
