3 Doors Down Verizon Wireless Amphitheater - Irvine, CA 8/31/2008

3 Doors Down took the stage about 15 minutes late. Nothing due to them, the entire night started off late. Normally one wouldn’t see a problem running a tad bit late except if you are planning to perform live for the Jerry Lewis TV Marathon. That’s exactly what 3 Doors Down had planned on that Sunday night.

The show opened with the sound of a an old steam engine train and what appeared to be headlights shining through underneath the drum kit. They opened appropriate song “Train.” It has also been a VERY long time since I’ve seen pyro in a show. I am talking massive flame throwers on stage. Thanks to 3 Doors Down the little pyro in me is content. We sat about 7 rows back from the stage and could feel the heat of those flames everytime they went off.

Their backdrop was a LED screen that displayed everything from their logo to parts of music videos including Citizen soldier and the video with NASCAR drivers Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Tony Stewart. During “Let Me Be Myself” the crowd near the front of the stage had their TV faces on and the energy incredibly high.

The only thing that I saw was Brad’s in-ears might have been bothering him or someone doesn’t know how to control the monitors. Brad on many occasions during the night would rip the in-ears out from his ear. From his body language it wasn’t because he wanted to hear our pretty voices.

Overall Brad and the boys were fabulous onstage and the whole crowd up out of their seats. The pyro was fun and Brad had an amazing night on vocals.

Setlist for the night:(might be missing a song in the beginning 7 songs)
