On an Editor’s Note: Aliante Casinos are awesome. They are so clean and this one has a very cool setup for shows. They also happen to get some of the biggest names in rock and country to hit their stage. If you are in North Las Vegas and need something to do on a Saturday night this is the place to be. It’s so high tech, I know that because I know someone who works there and heard about the remarkable surveillance system and interrogation room. I’d highly recommend staying here if you have a chance.
Rockers also dropping their debut CD on June 9
LAS VEGAS – February 4, 2009 – Due to their enormous popularity at Green Valley Ranch, Steel Panther, one of the greatest heavy metal bands, brings their unparalleled musicianship, brilliant comedic talent and mind-blowing good looks to the Access Showroom at Aliante Station every Saturday night beginning Feb. 7 with doors at 10 p.m. This raucous fun-filled show is packed with killer licks and super hot chicks. The band will continue to perform at Ovation inside Green Valley Ranch every Friday with doors at 11 p.m. Since June, the group has rocked the Ovation stage with celebrities such as Sully Erna of Godsmack, Aaron Lewis of Staind, Scott Ian of Anthrax, Justin Hawkins of The Darkness, magician Criss Angel and the band LA Guns, among others. Like most legendary rock stars, the members of Steel Panther do not hold back with the audience, exchanging humorous rock star banter between songs.
Formed in 1983, Steel Panther has since become widely known around the world for their wild and crazy antics, pristine hairdos and flashy spandex that doesn’t leave much to the imagination. Rockers Michael Starr, Satchel, Lexxi Foxxx and Stix Zadinia embrace the spirit and love of everything rock ‘n’ roll with their colorful repartee, loud costumes and graphic body language. The band has built up a loyal fan base by playing favorites from such artists as Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Poison and Bon Jovi, just to name a few. Along with the numerous metal classics in its repertoire, Steel Panther also has a host of original material including the songs “Death To All But Metal,” “The Shocker,” “Eatin’ Ain’t Cheatin’”and “Community Property.” These songs will be included on the group’s debut album which will drop this summer.
With their growing popularity, Steel Panther is teaming up with comedian Brian Posehn, best known for his roles as the mail clerk on NBC’s “Just Shoot Me!” and as Brian Spukowski on Comedy Central’s “The Sarah Silverman Program,” to film the music video for “Death To All But Metal” which Posehn will be directing. The group is also in discussions with Jeff Tremaine, producer of “Jack Ass,” to create a true-to-life TV show concept and movie.
Access Showroom is a 600-seat venue spanning 13,500 square feet and is viewed as the new “crown jewel” of Station Casinos’ concert/showroom venues. Guests can enjoy an intimate concert experience as every seat or lavish luxury booth (complete with bottle and table service) is no more than 75 feet away from the stage.
The shows are open to adults 21 years and older and there is no cost for admission. Entry to the shows will be first come, first served and based upon venue capacity.
