Check out my photos from the Bloc Party concert in Chicago. If you weren’t there, that sucks for you! This show was in such high demand that it had to be moved from The Riviera Theatre to the Aragon Ballroom. It originally sold out THAT fast.

Just the night before the band was in Miami performing during the annual Winter Music Conference (WMC). However, the show had to be canceled at the last minute because lead singer Kele Okereke lost his voice. “I have never seen so many douchebags in one place,” Okereke told the Chicago crowd. Ha, take THAT Miami. Makes me proud to be from good old Chicago.

Bloc Party performed songs from all three of their albums. Whenever I didn’t recognize one, I knew it had to be from their latest record Intimacy. I went home after the show and bought the Deluxe Version of Intimacy so I could hear those new songs over and over again. And thank you Bloc Party for playing my favorite song: “This Modern Love.” That song alone made my night. Many more photos after the jump!
