The Las Vegas Jam Band Society exists to help create a more supportive music community in southern Nevada for the musicians of the Jam Band genre. The goal is to educate ourselves and the community through grass roots promotions and concert events.
Through an expanded understanding and exposure to improvisational music we can provide a home for Jam bands in Southern Nevada. We plan to make Southern Nevada a national destination for Jam Band festivals and by doing so will provide our community with quality music and an enhancement of it’s cultural value. We believe in transcendence through music and together we can introduce more people to the magic of this music and the musicians who play it.

Born and raised in Indiana, Szabo cites the rock classics of the 60’s and 70’s such as Cat Stevens and Jethro Tull as his musical influences. Throughout his youth, Szabo’s father played guitar, which inspired Elliot to do the same. He painstakingly studied the songbooks of such iconic performers as Neil Diamond, George Harrison, and Paul Simon, and soon father and son would spend many a day jamming together.

His music is inspired by a variety of personal experiences and stories throughout his life, says Szabo. The song themes explore the complexities of human nature within different situations.

Szabo had performed as a solo artist and in various groups throughout the Midwest before making the move to the Entertainment Capital of the World. Szabo joined up with drummer Kenny Byrne and bassist Gary Coveny, and the trio has been writing, recording and playing shows throughout the Southwest since 2007. He and his band mates have a true love of performing, which shines through on stage during each show.
