“…tender, whimsical and subtly tripped-out folk-pop, topped off with ecstatic harmonies.” – Time Out New York

“Rings has the potential to be one of this summer’s pool-side party discs.” -Relix

“Bones slaps energy and devotion into dancehall chills, steel percussion, flutes, and a wide range of stylistic approaches found on his debut album Rings, the likes of which are rarely found in an up-and-coming artist.” -Eastern Surf

“Sean Bones is an exciting new band from New York that sounds like it’s coming direct from the streets of Trenchtown.” -IFC

“…Get transported into Sean Bones’s world; a place where reggae is not just reggae but glimmering with pop gloss…and pop is not simply pop, but a raw, driven source that makes the perfect soundtrack to a New York summer.” -Baeble Music

“…What he’s made is the perfect summer soundtrack. Some songs are playful pop while others have more of a rock edge, but always with a reggae beat so infectious that you can’t help moving to the music.” -LA2DAY

“…coaxing an imaginary island breeze” -Earfarm

“…we’ve been loving the infusion of white boys doing indie-reggae. The first two singles, “Easy Street” and “Sugar In My Spoon” were brilliant, and new track, “Dancehall” continues the rub-a-dub sound.” -Future Sounds

“Sean Bones puts on the best live show to be seen in years.” -IndieRockReviews.com (Band Of The Week)

“…is like a little golden nugget.” -URB

Recorded by Jon Spencer knob-minder, Jay Braun, RINGS runs the gamut from sturdy rocksteady grooves to sly Spector-esque pop; Afrobeat bounce to reggaeton, disco, and so much more. And of course, there’s the Norah Jones connection. Sullivan spent last summer in Jamaica shooting a film opposite the Grammy award winner. Wah Do Dem – patois for “What They Do” – is set to premiere this June at the LA Film Festival, and served as he launching pad for a musical relationship between Sullivan and Jones, who contributes to RINGS’ gorgeous album-closer “Turn Them.” Tour dates, tracklist and more info below.
