Station Casinos’ house entertainment is rockin’ this September

LAS VEGAS – September 3, 2009 – Station Casinos continues to entertain locals with a number of new weekly acts and shows at several of its properties in addition to its trademark bands that the city has grown to love.

New entertainment includes dueling pianos that provide an evening of unpredictable, yet fun entertainment every Thursday at Fiesta Rancho. Free Jazz Fridays continues through September, now poolside at Aliante Station. Guests can enjoy Monday Night Football when the season starts at Green Valley Ranch and Sunset Station. Most shows are free or will be noted below if they have a minimal cover charge.

Every Monday:

Ovation – Monday Night Football with doors at 5 p.m. beginning Sept. 14.

Every Tuesday:

Quinn’s Irish Pub – Trivia night from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Guests must be 21 years and older.

Hank’s Fine Steaks & Martinis – Michael Grimm on piano from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Every Wednesday:

Ovation –

Yellow Brick Road

(YBR), the Las Vegas-based classic rock tribute band, takes the stage at 9 p.m. Unlike most tribute bands that generally pay homage to one artist only, YBR takes on the entire classic rock/pop spectrum. Guests must be 21 years and older.

Hank’s Fine Steaks & Martinis – Michael Grimm on piano from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Every Thursday:

Ovation – The Lon Bronson All-Star Band performs high-energy rock from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. with its 14-piece band. This show is known for bringing in special guest artists, so be sure to stop by. The band will not perform on Sept. 10 as a private event is taking place. Guests must be 21 years and older.

Hank’s Fine Steaks & Martinis – Michael Grimm on piano from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Every Friday:

Ovation – The Michael Grimm Band performs from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Grimm performs his personal blend of music where a country boy melds soul and rock accompanied by his 12-piece band. The band will not play on Sept. 18 as guests learn the story behind the song during Nashville Unplugged at 8 p.m. The band also will not perform on Sept. 25 as the A.C.T.S Talent Show is taking place.

Ovation – Steel Panther performs from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. This ’80s glam metal parody band demonstrates their spirit and love of everything rock ‘n’ roll with their colorful repartee, loud costumes and graphic body language. The band will not perform Sept. 11 as Platinum Rockstars will perform in their place. Guests must be 21 years and older.

Quinn’s Irish Pub – Darby O’Gill & The Little People take the stage from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Guests must be 21 years and older.

Hank’s Fine Steaks & Martinis – Peter Love on piano from 6:30 p.m. to midnight.

Every Saturday:

The September schedule features: Randy Piper of W.A.S.P. on Sept. 5, Robert Mason of Warrant and Lynch Mob on Sept. 12, Tim “Ripper” Owens formerly of Judas Priest on Sept. 19 and Kip Winger on Sept. 26. Guests must be 21 years and older.

Chrome Showroom – Free Rock Saturdays featuring tribute bands of famed rock artists on a rotating schedule with doors at 9 p.m. The September schedule features: Dust n’ Bones tribute to Guns N’ Roses on Sept. 5, Atomic Punks tribute to Van Halen on Sept. 12, True 2 Crüe tribute to Motley Crüe on Sept. 19 and Don’t Stop Believin’ tribute to Journey on Sept. 26. Guests must be 21 years and older.

South Padre – Texas Blues Series from 9 p.m. to midnight featuring some of the country’s best blues musicians on a rotating schedule. The September schedule features: Duke Robilliard Band on Sept. 4 and Michael Burks on Sept. 11. On Sept. 18 and Sept. 25 Viva Rawk Vegas will take over with Wau y Los Arrrghs!, Holding on to Sound and Bright Lights, Big City playing on Sept. 18 and Jake E. Lee (formerly of Ozzy Osbourne), Down the Boulevard and TBA playing for metal night on Sept. 25. Doors are at 10 p.m. Guests must be 21 years and older.

The Railhead – Latin Night with Noche Nortena featuring El Moreno Carrillo Y Su Banda Tierra Sagrada, delivering the best in regional Mexican music with doors at 8:30 p.m. The music flows leading up to the show and between sets with a DJ spinning the best Latin tunes until 2 a.m. This show is 21 years and older and has a $10 cover for men and $5 cover for women.

Access Showroom – ThirdTown, 2008 “Nashville Star” finalists, performs southern rock and country classics as well as original songs, complete with line dancing. Doors are at 6 p.m. and guests must be 21 years and older.
