Red Cortez On The Road With The Airborne Toxic Event

RED CORTEZ- ON TOUR NOW
WITH THE AIRBORNE TOXIC EVENT

red cortez

Red Cortez’s current tour opening for The Airborne Toxic Event throughout the US comes on the heels of a remarkable year-long period during which Red Cortez has established itself as one of the most exciting unsigned bands in Southern California. Powerful and literate, the band has a fresh sound born out of the most classic of rock influences.

Although Red Cortez has never released a full album, incredible bands from all over the rock and roll landscape have embraced Red Cortez and invited them out as a support act. As a result the band has toured heavily recently, opening for everyone from Stephen Malkmus to Morrissey (at his personal request), Little Joy to Jason Isbell, The Mother Hips to the French Kicks, Black Mountain to the Tallest Man on Earth, Razorlight to Matt Costa.

The Hands To The Wall EP is out now via all digital outlets.

Stay tuned for more music from Red Cortez in 2010.

Meanwhile check out the following two tracks:

these guys are one of the most literate and cathartic bands i have seen in a long time. they have “it” though i don’t know what that is. They speak to a broad range of people, very universal. You should see them live, just amazing, and i don’t say that lightly.
