A FULL SOUNDSCAPE IMMERSION BEING BROUGHT TO ALL CORNERS OF THE UNITED STATES
Brooklyn-based experimental group Growing, the trio comprised of Joe DeNardo, Kevin Doria, and Sadie Laska, today announce a six week tour in support of their new album PUMPS! due out April 6th on Vice Records. Their eighth release stands testament that the collective imagination of these sound architects knows no depths as they once again defy all concepts of genre to turn in a record dense with bulbous layers of unearthly jubilance that would work equally as well soundtracking a sweaty dance club or an educational science film.
Kicking off with a record release show in Brooklyn on April 6th, the band will wind its way counter clockwise through the US before closing out the tour May 19th in Philadelphia. Following a relative dearth of touring for their last several releases (with some notable exceptions, including their highly celebrated tour with Fuck Buttons this past Fall), this marks the most extensive touring the band has done in years and represents a rare opportunity to experience the band in the live context. To see Growing live is to witness unpredictable sounds being wrangled from instruments one would not have thought capable of producing them as wave upon rhapsodic wave of sonic exuberance immerses the listener in an alien-dance cocoon.
