St Patty’s Day 2010!

St Patricks Day is just around the corner! Time for some good Irish fare and you can’t forget about the green beer! What are your St Patty’s Day plans? Don’t have plans yet? No worries, keep reading after the jump for a few ideas for those of you in and around the Chicago city limits.

Cobra Lounge – On St. Patrick’s Day, the Cobra Lounge celebrates their 4th Anniversary with a huge party. The Street Dogs, one of Boston’s best Irish Punk bands will headline – they are joined by Shot Baker and The Infected. The show is free and starts at 7pm. Cobra Lounge is located at 235 N. Ashland.

Howl At The Moon – Their St. Paddy’s Day Bash starts at 5pm with $3 Green Beer, 2 for 1 Car Bombs, $8 24oz. Irish Ice Tea Bones. Come Shake your Shamrocks with Howl At The Moon located at 26 West Hubbard Street.

Anyway’s – The St. Patty’s specials start March 10th and will be available through March 20th, just because they know you won’t be ready to stop celebrating once March 17th is over. Specials include green Miller Lite pints for $3.25 and corned beef and cabbage on Wednesday, March 17th. Delicious! Get over to Anyway’s, and make sure to check out their new location in Glendale Heights. Anyway’s is located at 5 E. Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace.

The Auld Dubliner – This Irish pub and restaurant has plenty of Irish fare and a selection of over 100 beers! They’re celebrating more than once, with live music, delicious beer, and Irish favorites like Irish stew, shepherd’s pie, and corned beef and cabbage. On Friday, March 12th, jam with Whiskey Brothers while drinking a Guinness, Smithwick’s, Harp, or Murphy’s. Head back on Saturday, March 13th for Another Pint and, of course, another pint. Then on St. Patrick’s Day, Wednesday, March 17th, get ready to party with Whiskey Remorse! The Auld Dubliner is located at 641 E. Boughton Road, Bolingbrook.

Cabana Charley’s – The laid-back island vibe of Cabana Charley’s in Woodridge makes this the perfect place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. They’re so cool, they will be celebrating all month long! That’s right: for the entire month of March, you can drink delicious pints of Guinness for only $4, Jameson shots and Irish Car Bombs for $5, and Miller Lite and Bud Light drafts for only $2. So even when you stop in for Trivia Night on Tuesdays, or Karaoke on Thursdays, or live music on Fridays and Saturdays, you’ll be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, and that’s pretty awesome. Gatsby’s Pizza & Pub – Gatsby’s in Arlington Heights is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day all day on Wednesday, March 17th! Their big St. Patrick’s Day party includes prizes and giveaways, green beer, and great specials. The drink specials include 23-ounce Bud Light, Bud Select, and Amber Bock for $2.25, and food specials include delicious corned beef and cabbage. This is sure to be a great party, so make plans to be at Gatsby’s! Gatsby’s Pizza & Pub is located at 427 E. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.

Hawthorne’s Backyard – This St. Patrick’s Day on Wednesday, March 17th, they’re ready to tickle your taste buds with their Irish menu. They’re making the bold claim that their corned beef is the best this side of Ireland, so you’d better go for a taste test! Plus seconds, and thirds ‘ just to be thorough. Enjoy live music from Rob Russo while you chow down, but don’t sing along with your mouth full. Have fun! Hawthorne’s Backyard is located at 1200 W. Hawthorne Lane, West Chicago.

JD Muggs – They’re having green beer, plus all drinks and beers are only $2. You’ll be able to munch on some delicious corned beef and cabbage while you enjoy the karaoke and contests on March 17th. Plus, they’re giving away plenty of prizes! Anything goes at JD Muggs, so don’t miss this party. JD Muggs is located at 437 S. Addison Road, Addison.

John’s Buffet – John’s Buffet in Winfield will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day on Wednesday, March 17th with a great party! Johns has been a Winfield favorite since 1921, and is currently under third-generation ownership ‘ talk about a family tradition. Their St. Patrick’s Day food special is the best corned beef dinner around, and they have great drink specials on Guinness and Bass. Plus, let’s not forget about that delicious green beer! John’s Restaurant & Tavern is located at 27 W. 482 Jewell Road, Winfield.

Mickey Finn’s Brewery – Known for brewing delicious beers, so forget about green beer! When you head to Mickey Finn’s for St. Patrick’s Day, you’ll get to drink their very own Irish Red Ale and Irish Stout. They think St. Patrick’s Day is so nice, they’re celebrating it twice: on Saturday, March 13th and again on Wednesday, March 17th! The live entertainment includes Irish dancers and an Irish band, plus there will be contests and plenty of giveaways. They’re serving up a selection of delicious Irish foods as well, from corned beef to shepherd’s pie, corned beef sandwiches, reubens, Irish egg rolls, cabbage soup, and fish & chips! Mickey Finn’s Brewery is located at 412 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Libertyville.

Mullen’s Bar & Grill – Is setting up a HUGE tent for their St. Patrick’s Day celebration on Wednesday, March 17th! They have not one, but two bands lined up to rock your green socks off: The Hat Guys from 5:00pm ‘ 9:00pm, and Hairbangers Ball from 9:00pm ‘ 1:00am. You’ll get to drink green beer and eat corned beef and cabbage, plus more from the St. Pat’s Menu. Best of all, Mullen’s opens at 11:00am, so you can start the party early and keep it going all night! Mullen’s Bar & Grill is located at 3080 Warrenville Road, Warrenville.

Neighborhood Inn – They’re celebrating on Wednesday, March 17th with green beer, plus corned beef and cabbage. Yum! Their Wednesday specials still apply, so you’ll also get some great deals on shots and drinks like $3.50 vodka flavors and $5 bombs. Neighborhood Inn is located at 2322 Hassel Road, Hoffman Estates.

Pete & Johnny’s Tavern & Grille – Get ready for the big day by stopping in for their menu special, corned beef and cabbage, every day from March 15 – March 20. That’s right, you can chow down on corned beef for all of St. Patrick’s week. Sounds like a great way to celebrate! Pete & Johnny’s Tavern & Grille is located at 2901 Ogden Avenue, Lisle.

Q Billiards & Sports Bar – Will be putting on a St. Patrick’s Day with style on Wednesday, March 17th! With live entertainment by Sing With the Band, you get to be a rock star this St. Patrick’s Day. Green beer will be available for your drinking pleasure, plus drink specials like $3 You-Call-It well drinks, $4 Guinness pints, $5 domestic pitchers, $5 Jameson, and $5.50 Irish Car Bombs. If you show up for lunch, you’ll be treated to a $5 lunch special from 11:00am ‘ 3:00pm, and appetizers are half-price from 4:00pm ‘ 6:00pm. Q Billiards is located at 8109 S. Cass Avenue, Darien.

Roadhouse/Main Event – Elgin’s hottest new live music and entertainment venue is throwing the biggest of St. Patrick’s Day parties, along with HBO! This event, on Wednesday, March 17th, is sure to be one of the hottest of the year, so you’ll want to be there. Make sure to check out their website for more details as the date approaches. Roadhouse Bar & Grill is located at 200 Prairie Street, Elgin.

Shark City – Don’t miss this year’s St. Patrick’s Day party at Shark City in Glendale Heights! This big bash on Wednesday, March 17th will feature tons of awesome prizes and giveaways. Plus, you’ll get to party with the Miller Girls and try some samples. Shark City always throws great parties, so this is sure to be fun. Shark City is located at 2240 Bloomingdale Road, Glendale Heights.

Tailgaters – They’re throwing the best St. Patty’s Day party in town on March 17th, with $2 green pints, corned beef and cabbage, prizes and giveaways. DJ Rob will be playing the best party and dance music, so get ready to party all night long! Start celebrating early, because Tailgaters is offering special, huge corned beef sandwiches and reubens all month long. It’s St. Patty’s done right at Tailgaters! Tailgaters is located at 431 W.
