IGGY AND THE STOOGES TALK ABOUT THE DAVID BOWIE RAW POWER MIX IN NEW CLIP
RAW POWER DELUXE EDITION IS AVAILABLE NOW

Iggy and the Stooges have just posted a new clip from the DVD documentary “Search and Destroy” here. In the clip the band talks about hiring David Bowie to mix Raw Power. Guitarist James Williamson recalls his experience with Bowie: “I remember sitting in on the mixes and it was just clear he had no idea about this music. It was completely different for him.” Iggy’s favorite moment on the mix was Bowie’s treatment of the guitar on “Gimme Danger”: “He [Bowie] used something called a time cube, which looked like a bong, on the lead guitar track.”

The Deluxe Edition comes with the original 1973 Bowie Mix (Out of print for over a decade), the live “Georgia Peaches” disc, bonus disc of rarities, 5 exquisite 5″x7″ square prints, a Japanese 7″ picture sleeve reproduction of “Raw Power” b/w “Search and Destroy”, DVD documentary, and a 48 page soft cover book with essays by Henry Rollins, Slash, Tom Morello, and others.

The Deluxe Edition of Iggy and the Stooges seminal 1973 album Raw Power is available now.
