Member value and business solutions to be showcased by industry’s leading trade association

(Washington, D.C.) The National Restaurant Association—the restaurant industry’s leading trade association—will demonstrate some of its products, services, tools and solutions to enhance America’s restaurants at NRA Show 2010. The Association and the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) will also feature special guests and top ProStart students in Booth #6300, May 22-25, at Chicago’s McCormick Place.

“Our mission is to help our members – the cornerstone of their communities – build customer loyalty, rewarding careers and financial success,” said Dawn Sweeney, President & CEO of the National Restaurant Association and the NRAEF. “We will feature business solutions and research that help restaurant operators manage costs and build profitability, showcase the benefits of sustainability and social responsibility, and highlight our advocacy efforts all four days of the event.”

The brand new exhibit space at the concourse entrance to McCormick Place’s North Hall is designed to spotlight specific value offerings. Each focused on a specific field, five kiosk stations will surround a central stage where culinary showcases and educational presentations will be held throughout the four days of the Show. Screens will display the Twitter event hashtag – #NRAShow – feed so visitors can follow the conversation and find out what’s buzz-worthy.

In addition to the stations, the National Restaurant Association/NRAEF Booth #6300 will also feature culinary and other demonstrations each day, including top ProStart students and special guest Bill Nye The Science Guy®. Responsible Stewardship: The Association will accept applications for its prestigious Restaurant Neighbor Award, and highlight industry partners Food Donation Connection and Share Our Strength. Conserve: Solutions for Sustainability will also be featured.

The National Restaurant Association will also operate a satellite booth in the Conserve Solutions Center in the South Hall of McCormick Place, kiosk #979D, to showcase its new Greener Restaurants national education and recognition program (www.GreenerRestaurants.com). The Greener Restaurants program is an extension of the Association’s Conserve: Solutions for Sustainability initiative, which encourages and assists restaurant operators to increase their environmental efforts while preserving – and many times boosting – their bottom line.
