Los Angeles, CA (June 10, 2010) – This past Sunday, millions of MTV Movie Award viewers around the world watched the debut of “I Like It,” the brand-new video from Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Enrique Iglesias from his forthcoming release, EUPHORIA, in stores July 6. “I Like It,” which features special guest appearances by Pitbull and Lionel Richie, is also the first single off the soundtrack to MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” due July 20th. The electrifying track sees Richie re-recording lines from his 1983 mega-hit, “All Night Long.” The video, shot in Miami, is directed by David Rousseau (Lil Wayne, Pitbull, LMFAO), and features Iglesias performing the track with an appearance by Pitbull while the Jersey Shore cast crash the video shoot.
Iglesias recently celebrated his 21st #1 single at Latin Radio with “Cuando Me Enamoro,” the first Spanish single from the new release. Both “I Like It” and “Cuando Me Enamoro” are available now at iTunes.
The MTV Movie Awards was the first of several TV appearances for the multi-platinum superstar, who’s gearing up for the release of his much-anticipated 9th studio album, EUPHORIA. Over the course of the next several weeks, Iglesias will dominate the airwaves with appearances on “The Tonight Show,” “The Today Show,” “CBS Early Show,” “Live with Regis & Kelly,” “Lopez Tonight,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and the “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.”
EUPHORIA is a star-studded affair featuring an additional guest appearance by Akon. Produced by RedOne (Lady Gaga, Mary J. Blige), Mark Taylor (Nelly Furtado, Britney Spears) and Enrique’s long-time collaborator, Carlos Paucar, it’s the first Enrique Iglesias album to feature songs in both Spanish and English.
With more than 55 million copies sold worldwide, 21 #1 tracks on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs Chart, unbeatable records, countless awards and thousands of sold out concerts around the globe, Enrique Iglesias continues to be one of the most successful artists in modern music.
