Entertainment Schedule for Webster Hall
East Village music legend Lach presents a night of Antifolk in The Marlin Room at Webster Hall (125 East 11th Street). Doors are at 7pm for ages 18+. Five-dollar admission and a 2-drink minimum with 3rd drink free.
Coming to Webster Hall on Wednesday June 30th Headliner Don McCloskey is joined by a great bill of fellow Antifolk Artists.
7:30- Kung-Fu Crimewave – Antifolk supergroup. Think Moldy Peaches meets Jefferson Airplane.
8- Dina RuDean – A long-time regular and favorite on the Antifolk scene. Loved for her poignant and beautiful songs and voice, the glint in her eye and in her lyrics alike.
9-Brook Pridemore – Brook Pridemore sings and yells and plays the guitar and the ukelele. He sings songs about redemption, loneliness, love, war, traveling and staying in one place. His albums out on Crafty Records have earned him much acclaim. Recalling at times The Mountain Goats’ John Darnielle or anti-folk legend Ed Hamell, Pridemore sounds, as always, intent on moving your ass and your mind in equal measure.
10pm- Don McCloskey – Won Philly’s ‘Best Acoustic Act’ and ‘Male Entertainer of the Year!” awards in the same year! Don’s songs are featured in the Academy-award winning movie “Bowling For Columbine” and the FX comedy show “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”.Think Robin Williams meets Springsteen with a little Kid Rock thrown in for good measure. A hell of a performer!
11pm- Timothy Dark – Hip-hop rapper meets the Antifolk scene and the result is powerful songs delivered in a dynamic way. His albums have featured duets with such notables as Nellie McKay and Nicole Atkins
