FIGHT THE LION GEARING UP FOR ROCKSTAR ENERGY’S UPROAR FESTIVAL

When The Mighty Fall LP Available On iTunes Now!

New York, NY- (August 16, 2010)- Alexandria, Virginia’s own- FIGHT THE LION are thrilled to be sharing the bill on the ROCKSTAR ENERGY’s UPROAR Festival with some of today’s hottest Hard Rock/Metal acts such as Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour, Halestorm, Hellyeah, among others. On Tuesday,
August 31st, FIGHT THE LION featuring Jake Mimikos (Lead Vocals, Guitar), Ron Cruz (Guitar, Vocals), Jason Proctor (Bass), and Shawn Battle (Drums, Vocals) will be hitting the Jagermeister Mobile Stage at
Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia.
In support of their self-released, debut album- When the Mighty Fall, currently available on iTunes, all the members of FIGHT THE LION are equally honored to be included on the ROCKSTAR ENERGY UPROAR line-up. Drummer Shawn Battle had this to say, “After hearing our new CD, Steven
at Jagermeister called to invite us to play on the Jagermeister Mobile Stage. We were psyched to get that kind of reaction, and it’s been going like that ever since.” He goes on to add, “We’re all fans of these bands and are excited to be sharing the stage with them.”

The big stage is no stranger to FIGHT THE LION. Since the quartet started writing together back in 2009, they have gone on to play over 80 shows sharing the stage with legendary acts such as Poison, Def Leppard, Cheap Trick, Candlebox, Lifehouse and Thriving Ivory.

On When the Mighty Fall, FIGHT THE LION shine with a variety of styles, crossing multiple genres from the album’s title track, to the full-throttle rock and fan favorite “Fire it Up!” while “Time Taker”, as
heard on DC101, highlights a more progressive side to the band’s sound.

“Fight The Lion’s sound is cut for radio. Their grinding guitar licks,
and dark minor-driven verses that swing into soaring choruses bring to
mind the likes of Chevelle, Tool, and Hoobastank.”
– OnTap Magazine

“Just when I thought real rock music was dead, Fight The Lion infested
my speakers. Very impressive arrangements and writing supported by
aggressive drums. It’s one of the few CD’s that doesn’t leave my car.
It’s perfect for driving or preparing for MMA training. Hey, Fight The
Lion!”
