Feeding the Wolves
10 Years is:
Jesse Hasek – vocals
Ryan “Tater” Johnson – guitar
Lewis Cosby – bass
Brian Vodinh – guitar/drums
Today marks a couple different things in music. One of them is 10 Years is back with a brand spanking new song “Shout it Out” off their newest release, Feeding the Wolves. The second reason would be the most obvious; 10 Years Feeding the Wolves is out today!!
Feeding the Wolves is the heaviest album that’s ever been produced by the group since their formation in 1999, and there is no doubt as to why. They brought in producer Howard Benson whose previous works have been with Flyleaf and Seether.
Some may remember a departure for the band back in 2008. It was the head on collision with growing success, heavy touring, and many personal changes that cause the stress and eventual break of the band. Lewis states, “We went through all kinds of changes during the Division cycle. Personnel changes, management changes – a lot of negativity rippling through our camp. We even made that record outside Seattle where we ended up only feeling more disconnected. We eventually decided to take some time away and get some perspective.”
I guess the wise ones are right when they say you need to hit the bottom before you can reach back up to the top, as 10 Years is the perfect example of this. Feeding the Wolves is not just a new notch under 10 Years’ belt, it’s also piece of art that is a fine example of how a rock band gets back on their feet with a vengeance.
Feeding the Wolves is a must listen to in the alternative world of rock. Check the video for “Shout it Out” and you’ll see what I mean.
