The Orbans, from Fort-Worth, Texas, just released their debut-album When We Were Wild and The Dallas Observer praised the release saying “the debut…is so full of pop hooks that there is almost no discernable lead single on here.” The album is full of catchy, energetic tunes and has drawn comparisons to Big Star, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers and Ryan Adams. CMJ Dates: TBS

Sarah Jaffe at just 24 years old, is currently performing a handful of dates while supporting her highly successful debut album Suburban Nature. This comes after performing as the main support on 3 consecutive tours: Midlake, Norah Jones, and most recently Lou Barlow. The Texan brings together the genre of Country, Indie Pop, Blues and Folk into one amazingly live performance each time she hits the stage. USA Today’s Pop Candy has been quoted as saying “Jaffe writes heartfelt, soaring songs that beg for repeated listens.” Her single “Clementine” hit commercial radio airwaves this past August with her music video premiering on USA Today’s Pop Candy. A new EP is in the works, but in the meantime, download her album below and check out her music video.

Oct 22nd @ The Rock Shop

Spin Magazine has praised the Pomegranates, saying “They’ve added a glossy polish to their art-pop and punk with reverb-y, anthemic yet meandering guitar lines that’d raise the eyebrows of both Modest Mouse’s Isaac Brock and Coldplay’s Chris Martin.” Fresh out of Cincinnati, the young rockers will be heading out on tour this fall in support of their third full-length album One Of Us, which will be released on October 26th.
