Insane Clown Posse aka ICP
The Rave – Milwaukee, WI
Ahh…just a couple days until Halloween but the festivities have already begun at the Rave up in Milwaukee. Insane Clown Posse was there last night to a room full of Juggalos. Yes, Juggalos: Juggalo or Juggalette (the latter being feminine) is a name given to fans of Insane Clown Posse or any other Psychopathic Records group.
Insane Clown Posse’s Halloween shows aren’t just for kicks. This infamous hip hop duo is out promoting their new DVD Big Money Rustlas. We are giving away 2 copies of the DVD to a couple lucky ICP fans. So I ask…Where are you Juggalos at? All you have to do is go to our Facebook Page and subscribe to our newsletter. We promise we don’t spam or sell that info. The 10th and then the 20th Juggalo or Juggalette that subscribes wins the DVD courtesy of ICP. How does that sound?
But back to the show and pictures…
This was my first time at an ICP show. I had to see what ICP and their fans are all about after hearing how the gathering of the juggalos in Illinois threw bottles and chased after fame-ball Tila Tequila recently. Of course, did I do my research on ICP? No! It wasn’t until ABK went onstage that another photographer came up to me and asked me where my protection was. She wasn’t talking condoms…she was talking garbage bags and saran wrap for me and the camera! It was actually a pretty scary and fun time. It was the first time I’ve seen photographers wrapped in garbage bags at a concert. It’s also the craziest and smartest gimmick from a band since Bare Naked Ladies and their macaroni noodles! Who else sprays the fans down with liters of Faygo pop (lots of diet Faygo) every couple minutes? Mind you the music wasn’t the part that scared me about the show. It was the crazy looking clowns! The actual ICP frontmen, Joseph Bruce and Joseph Utsler, are actually two evangelical Christians that look more like KISS road kill than scary clowns and I mean that as a compliment.
I walked away as everybody did, soaking wet and sticking to the Rave’s floor. Yet I walked away with a smile and utterly enjoyed myself. I wasn’t planning on attending any Halloween parties this year but hitting up the ICP show sure made up for that!
