The Eli Story is a power-pop rock band from Chicago, Illinois. Their respect for collaboration, love for melodic songwriting, and utter lack of dignity make for a quirky rock formula that embodies their mission to always take their music seriously but never themselves.

Since the spring of 2006, The Eli Story has been delivering an energetic live stage show filled with musical balance, tight harmonies, and a little humor for good measure.

Thick and Thin: https://sites.google.com/site/rfactorband/home
$5.00 Alt / Indie Rock

Board of Governors is a power-rock duo in Chicago, Illinois which couples the aggressive, driving rhythms of East Coast punk rock with the structural, melodic and harmonic integrity of nineties Seattle-based grunge rock.

Board of Governors is singer/ guitar player Trevor Hougardy and drummer John Marino with the occasional support from synth and bass synth player Terry Martin. Together the group merge the youthful excitement, angst and energy of their rock backrounds. Their music is distinguished by energetic guitar-riff driven hooks, sophisticated use of dynamics, chromaticism and key changes, and is consciously minimalist. Furthermore, Hougardy’s lyrics candidly address common plights facing average, hard-working, everyday Americans and, through his examination of himself and recitation of personal experiences, have developed into their own brand of social commentary.

Board of Governors formed in 2008 when Hougardy’s and Marino’s previous band, The Beautiful Losers, broke up. For two years they wrote, experimented with different lineups, reworked and developed their sound. In the summer of 2010 they recorded their first E.P. at Paragon Studios, Inc. with producer and engineer Joseph Connors. They currently play around Chicago and are writing for their first full-length album which is scheduled for release in 2011. They plan to tour on that album in the summer of 2011.

Case Details: It was a ghastly spectacle, the local music scene savagely murdered and the blood covered boys of The ExoSkeleton are responsible. In the two years since the band’s inception, The Exoskeleton has gone from their pop-punk influence to a visceral rock that is both unique and frightening. Frontmen Vinny and Reece deliever songs about love, hate, and revenge; paired with surging guitars and blasting drumbeats. With songs such as “Superheroin,” a relentless assault which seethes with rage, and “Revengance,” a gruesome picture of payback, The ExoSkeleton has captivated hundreds and secured their place in the Chicago music scene. The inspiration for The ExoSkeleton’s violent images and hate lies in their backstory. Their climb to notoriety has been a treacherous one, filled with struggles and strains that would have broken most. These hardships have driven them forward, however, giving the four a spot on last year’s Warped Tour and an article in an upcoming issue of Alternative Press. A recorded EP is currently filed under evidence, but rumors of a full length CD and music videos on the horizon.

The suspects are still on the loose, having evaded capture thus far. Their influence is spreading, and soon their victims will be all but forgotten. The ExoSkeleton seeks to turn the music industry on it’s heel, they stand as a danger to modern music, to routine scenes, and anyone who stands in their way.

Music lovers, beware! Listening to the talented singer/songwriter Jenny Franck will likely be the beginning of a long-term relationship. Whether it is after her live performance or listening to one of her recordings, you will find yourself taking bits and pieces of her creative and thought-provoking songs with you everywhere. Jenny is the definition of what a singer/songwriter truly is…raw, real, and open. Her songwriting style combines a catchy riff with some tricky metaphorical phrases. When Jenny adds bassist Mike Orr and drummer Steve Matthews it gives her songs an attitude which you will find hard to duplicate.

Jenny’s musical odyssey passed through several instruments before she discovered the guitar as a teenager. Soon after learning to play, songs began pouring out of her. “I write to express myself and to try and understand my place in the world,” explains Jenny. “My entire world is centered on this need for self-realization. And every song I write is a piece of me I am letting go of and sharing with whoever wants to listen.”

Jenny happily shares her music through her recordings and live performances with a growing number of appreciative fans. Discover what a growing number of “Jenny Nation” already know. Jenny’s music will become part of your soul. If you are a fan, you are a friend.
