Justice is out Today!

Rev Theory’s sophomore album, Justice, is out today on Interscope Records.  The album, produced by Terry Date (Pantera, Deftones, Soundgarden), is the follow-up to their debut album Light It Up, that sold over 120,000 copies.   Light It Up also produced 3 hit singles on rock radio such as “Far From Over,” which was named Sirius Octane’s satellite radio song of the year.  They also hit the road with Avenged Sevenfold, Seether, and Hinder along with 2 headlining tours of their own.

Justice isn’t just a cool name for a killer rock album. “Justice means so much to us,” explains guitarist Julien Jorgensen. “It’s not just an album title. It’s a call to action. As a band we have rallied around the belief that, with this album, our time has come and we are going to grab it.”

The timing of the album couldn’t be better as the economy is still not on solid ground and people are still loosing their jobs.  Jorgensen also notes, “A lot of people are disillusioned. They’ve lost their jobs and their homes. They’ve lost faith in their leaders. We all need something to inspire us, something to make us believe again. We hope songs like ‘Justice’ and ‘Guilty by Design’ can rally people and maybe get them to believe, whether it’s in themselves, in humanity or in rock ‘n’ roll.”

The album is filled with such a dynamic energy and is a much harder album than Light it Up.  It has more of a mission; a call to arms shall we say.  The album’s namesake is by far the standout track on the album, but as Julien points out, “I think overall as a band we are the most proud of this song (Dead In a Grave). It’s probably the oldest song and its made it all the way through so it’s always nice to see something that you’ve created together as a band on the road come all the way through and literally make it this far through this process, because it’s a really trying process.”

Other highlights on Justice are “Fire,” ”Loaded Gun,” and the low-key acoustic “Hollowman.”
