Metro joins with the Chicago Architecture Foundation and Inland Steel Properties on Friday, March 11 for a one in a lifetime event, ICON. Combining design, music and entertainment, ICON is an evening celebrating the historic Inland Steel Building at 30 West Monroe. Tickets are on sale now at the Chicago Architecture Foundation website.
Held on the 11th floor of one of Chicago’s best-known and admired buildings, ICON will channel the very qualities that made Inland Steel an immediate icon: aspiration, celebration, optimism and the promise of design. The event will provide access to a space otherwise unavailable for public viewing, inviting the audience to experience, contextualize, and learn about the story of modern design. Music, cocktails, furnishings and lifestyle products will elevate the experience of the space, and, at the same time, broaden the definition of design. ICON will entertain and educate: it is a hybrid of an exciting public program and a creative fundraising event.
Chicago DJs Kid Color, Nate Manic and Bald E will provide the soundtrack, and attendees will enjoy cocktails from the open bar. A VIP ticket also includes access to the Herman Miller lounge, beverage service and a gift bag. Tickets are on sale now.
