Bar Review: Fox and Hound, Schaumburg IL

Fox and Hound
1416 North Roselle Road
Schaumburg, IL 60195

Came in for a friend’s graduation gathering and at the last minute we had a group of 15 people coming. We expected people to show up around 8pm and it was already 6pm. I called over to see if by chance I could get some reserved seating. I didn’t catch the manager’s name but she was very nice and was able to get some tables together for us. Good thing too! Cause it was a full house that night. It seemed like everyone in the Schaumburg area was at Fox and Hounds that night.

Décor: It’s a sports bar so lots of HD TV’s and pool tables. Booths and tables a plenty and even some compfy couches in the back. Three separate rooms to choose from all filled with various TV screens.

The Crowd: The night of our graduation celebration there was a huge High School reunion in one of the back rooms. It was kinda weird; they were all wearing name tags that had their old High School Yearbook photo on it. I’m sure it seemed like a good idea at the time. I’m just sayin’ when I’m older I don’t wanna be reminded of how hot I was in High School and now I’m some gray haired old lady with bags under my eyes that could carry a weeks worth of luggage.

Service: Eh. I suppose I could take into consideration that it was a Saturday night and they were busy. But honestly our server kinda sucked! She would come over and ask half of the table if they needed anything and completely ignored the other half. It definitely affected her tip in the end, especially since we were sort of a big party.

Liquid Courage On Tap: Oh my goodness, they have like 30 something beers on draft! Here are their daily specials:
Monday: $4 BIG Blue Moon drafts & 10 wings for only $5
Tuesday: $2 for ANY of our 36 drafts & $4 Absolut U-Call-Its
Wednesday: 1/2 price bottles of Wine, $4 Cazadores Margaritas, & $4 Three Olives U-Call-Its
Thursday: $4 Stoli U-Call-Its and $5 Stoli Martinis
Friday: $5 Top Shelf Long Islands & $5 Patron shots
Saturday: $5 U-Call-Its including Johnny Black, Crown, Jameson, Jack, Grey Goose, & Cazadores
Sunday: $5 Absolut Bloody Mary bar, $5 Bomb Squad Bombs, and $15 Domestic buckets

Eats: American style fair. Moderately priced.

Sounds: Satellite and cable coverage of a variety of sporting events and music videos.

Parking: Pretty sufficient parking. They have their own lot. Since this F&H is located in a strip mall area there is decent parking.

Overall: The only bar I know who actually has drink specials on the weekends! Service may be slow but they are polite. Kudos to the manager lady who helped me reserve some tables for some last minute RSVP’s.
