LAS VEGAS – March 25, 2011 – Over the past year, The Lounge inside the Palms Casino Resort has offered guests affordable and intimate entertainment offerings. The Lounge continues to provide a breadth of entertainment options including free shows. All lounge performances are open to the public; 21 years of age and older. Some ticketed events listed may have additional fees.

Artist: Acoustic Asylum Showcase sponsored by Gibson Guitars

Description: The Acoustic Asylum Showcase will feature artists Sara Thiele, Left Standing, Lee of Ashbury, plus “The Scene” invitational jam of local all-stars. Native Las Vegan Rick Duarte of Frequency Entertainment is working with Shaun Flannery (drummer/vox for The Guilty Pleasures) and Tiffany Fredianelli (singer for Loveshack) on Acoustic Asylum as well as the March 30 Emerge Indie Showcase. Gibson Guitars is a major sponsor Acoustic Asylum, providing all the instruments used on stage. HD coverage of the events will be shot by Running Bull Productions for future web broadcast.

In 2010, Tatum’s song, “Loud” was selected as the official theme song for ACC Football’s 2010 Season.

Description: Former Hot Water music front man, Chuck Ragan, has become a musical troubadour, growing from punk rock to releasing a string of well-received solo acoustic efforts. Ragan released his first solo album in 2007, Los Feliz, which was a live album featuring Ragan, his guitar and a harmonica. Ragan began touring alongside acts including Flogging Molly, Dustin Kensrue and others. His latest album, Gold Country (2009), boasts the sound of a talented songwriter playing simple songs alongside a close group of friends not for hope of financial gains, but because he literally has no other choice.

Description: Retro-swing band Royal Crown Revue debuted in 1991 and put the sounds of swing back on the map for a new generation to enjoy. In 1995, the group released Mugzy’s Move, their first major label release. In 1997 the live album Caught in the Act featured the hit “Barflies at the Beach” and their underground following continued to grow. A year later The Contender was released and broke through The Billboard 200 chart. Several more albums followed including2007’s El Toro. The most recent release, Don’t Be A Grinch This Year, is the band’s first-ever holiday CD, which features original songs as well as the group’s version of holiday classics.

These special performances will take place during the annual Viva Las Vegas rockabilly convention. This is the third time the group has performed in conjunction with the festival.
