Farbrew’s Beer Pick: Pigs Ear Brown Ale

Pigs Ear Brown Ale
Woodstock Inn Brewery

So here is my very first entry presenting a new beer I recently tried. It is called Pigs Ear Brown Ale. This is a dark ale from a brewery in North Woodstock, New Hampshire. The brewery users a traditional seven-barrel system that with premium hops and imported English grains. The brewery describes this beer as a “medium bodied with a balance of roasted and crystal malts creating a hearty nutty flavor. Medium bitterness with a slightly sweet finish.” This beer received the 2010 World Beer Cup – Gold Medal. Personally, I thought this beer was too heavy for my liking but that’s only because I tend to drink lighter beers. I am however, working on switching that up!
