For the first time, the 2011 Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival will host the Best Buy Music Gear Battle Of The Bands Powered by Ernie Ball. This competition will allow one unsigned band the opportunity to play live on the Best Buy Music Gear Stage at each U.S. tour stop during the August 28-October 14 trek. Finalists will compete for a grand prize package worth more than $20,000.

The Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival features multi-platinum headliner Avenged Sevenfold, along with main stage artistsThree Days GraceSeetherBullet For My Valentine and Escape The Fate. The North American touring music and lifestyle festival also includes Best Buy Music Gear Stage headliners Sevendust, as well as Black TideArt Of Dying and Hell Or Highwater. 

To enter the Best Buy Music Gear Battle Of The Bands Powered by Ernie Ball, bands simply register by completing a short informational profile and uploading at least one MP3 to the Battle Of The Bands website (www.RockstarUPROAR.com/battleofthebands). Entrants should use the Band Promotional Toolkit provided in their profile upon logging in to promote their entry on the web and drive fans to vote. Fans can also register at www.RockstarUPROAR.com/battleofthebands to become an official contest judge.

The top 100 bands receiving the most fan votes in each U.S. tour market will be judged by a panel of industry professionals and UPROARartists. This panel will choose the winner for each local U.S. tour market. Winners for each local U.S. market will be announced two weeks before that tour date. The winner in each city will perform in the opening slot on the Best Buy Music Gear Stage at the Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival and will be automatically entered into the Grand Prize competition.

Each U.S. tour market’s winning band will be eligible to compete for the Grand Prize. One band will be chosen by a panel of judges–including UPROAR artists and industry professionals–to win the Grand Prize package from the Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival, Ernie Ball Music Man and Best Buy Music Gear.

The grand prize package includes:

  • A coveted spot to play live on the entire 2012 Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival
