Sara Evans has a hit on her hands with “A Little Bit Stronger” that is currently available on iTunes and was recently certified Platinum by the RIAA. It’s off Stronger, her first album of new material since 2005’s Real Fine Place. She’s also done writing her third book titled Love Lifted Me. She currently has a three book publishing deal with Thomas Nelson Publishers and her first two novels are The Sweet By and By and Softly and Tenderly. On a personal front, her hiatus also included a very public and messy divorce, a stint on Dancing with the Stars, and a new marriage and family. Too think we all thought she was vacationing on a beach. I kid.
Sara’s performance at Country Thunder on Sunday was a success. She was the turning point for the four day festival. Up until this point fans were excited, but no one really left their seat during the daytime hours like they did for Sara. There was a point were the rows of fans surrounding the runway were several deep. Not good for security, but a fantastic vantage point for her fans.
You could feel the excitement build with each song she sang including A Little Bit Stronger” and her biggest hit “Suds in the Bucket”. To think she almost didn’t make it. We were in the media room as we say her bus pull up 45 minutes to showtime. She looked fabulous for only having a little time to get herself dolled up. She also managed to keep up her beautiful appearance in the hot hot heat of the day. It’s not Country Thunder if it doesn’t at least rain one of the days and have heat indexes in the mid 90’s.
