The Raconteurs Voodoo Experience New Orleans Jack White of the Raconteurs

The Voodoo List: The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly Day Three

Legend of the Day: Ray Davies, of The Kinks fame, drew a large crowd at the Preservation Hall stage

Best Performance: Easily The Raconteurs.  Yet another Jack White side project is as good as it gets.  The band is tight and watching Jack White shred on guitar is like an out of body experience.  He really is that good.  Brendan Benson and Jack White pair nicely on vocals.

Biggest Disappointment:  There were two:  (1) Odd Future brought a lot of anger and aggression to a chilled atmosphere and it just didn’t mesh with the Voodoo vibe.  (2)  Missing Fatboy Slim’s set because it was directly opposite The Raconteurs.

Biggest Surprise: The former Indie artist Portugal. The Man delivered a laid back feel with their psychedelic sounds.
