Godsmack Premieres New Webisode From The Making Of The Oracle Series On AOL’s Noisecreep

Today, AOL’s Noisecreep is exclusively bringing fans part five of Godsmack’s The Making Of The Oracle series. The Oracle, available everywhere May 4th, is the hard rocking band’s first album in four years and is sure to please fans as Sully Erna says, “I think every single song on this record is really badass, and I think just for that people should go get all the songs.” Episode number five catches the guys talking about recording the gang vocals on the lead single, “Cryin’ Like a Bitch.” Erna talks about how he got the idea for the song, and drummer Shannon Larkin explains how every guy in the band had a hand in the music and lyrics.

It has been a long journey for the North Carolina-based septet Paper Tongues, but now, with their Self-titled debut album set for release on March 30th, the band is ready for the spotlight. In the first of a series of new EPK videos on YouTube, fans are introduced to the seven band members and get to know singer Aswan North, who shares his unique background and childhood struggles. North also explains the origins of the name “Paper Tongues” and its tie-in to the new record. Foxy Shazam’s Official Video for “Oh Lord”

Inimitable rock ‘n’ soul sextet Foxy Shazam have released their music video for “Oh Lord”. Directed by Jeremy Jackson, whom also directed Foxy Shazam’s “Dangerous Man” music video, the premiere of “Oh Lord” will take place at Yahoo Music. “Oh Lord” is featured on the Cincinnati band’s self-titled major label debut that hits stores on April 13th.

Silversun Pickups: The Dead Hub 2009 Best New Artist

Silversun Pickups left me with just one thought as they left the stage upon completing their set: This band should have won the 2010 Best New Artist Grammy Award that it was nominated for…these four musicians deserved to have won. Instead, the Zac Brown Band took home the coveted award that can make or break an artist’s career. What the hell was up with that? Silversun Pickups only performed eight songs while opening for Muse last Friday night at Chicago’s United Center, but those eight chosen pieces of music were LONG. The alternative indie rock foursome from California played for almost 45 minutes, alternating between new songs from 2009’s release Swoon and 2007’s breakthrough record Carnavas.
