Each time I see Ingrid Michaelson perform, I laugh more than the last time, which happened to be at the Park West also.  Michaelson could seriously be a stand up comedian if she ever wanted to give up the whole music career thing she’s got going on. I am not joking – this girl is REALLY funny. Ingrid can feed off of any audience’s reaction, outburst, or expression and make the greatest remark or comeback. And don’t even get me started on her impressions, imitations, and comical voices. For your information, her Staten Island accent is amazing. You may not have known this previously, but Michaelson was a theater major in college and wanted to be a professional stage actress. This was her life path before her song “The Way I Am” was placed in an Old Navy commercial last fall that got EVERYBODY in the U.S. asking themselves “Who is this?” Ingrid has now had the following songs placed – she is the queen of licensing!

Not only can she sing and act, but she plays the acoustic guitar, ukulele, keyboard AND writes her own songs! Trust me, you’ll fall in love with this girl the second you hear or see her.  Plus, Michaelson usually always performs her solo signature acoustic cover of Radiohead’s hit “Creep,” which you DO NOT want to miss.  It is such a good version of that song!  More photos after the jump…
