Amazing show—that is, if I’m a 12 year old girl thrilled to be at one of my first concerts of my life. Regardless, David Archuleta’s ability to sing is undeniable. He was a contestant on American Idol in 2007.
The 18 year old walked on stage on Sunday at about 8 pm to the roar of a sold out House of Blues crowd. After his first song, he asked the audience’s permission to take a picture with them in the background “to remember the night.”
Once that was over, it was an hour long performance of Archuleta’s self-titled debut album, along with some of his favorite cover songs. There wasn’t much of a set on stage but the crowd clearly was not paying attention to nothing else but him.
Showing how modest he is, Archuleta thanked everyone for their applause after every song trying to talk over all the screaming fans. But modest or not, he has the chops to sing and will certainly continue to sell out venues across the country.

David is absolutely AMAZING.
This young man’s talent is so limitless it’s almost frightening in its potential. No hyberbole here – He is one track to becoming THE biggest male pop vocalist in the world.
The guy’s live vocals are so pure, so emotional, so crisp and emotive that to hear him on a CD is almost an insult.
Go see him if you have the chance – go pick up his debut album in the stores. I feel we’re witnessing the beginnings of a true music LEGEND, and I cannot wait to see and watch him as he grows into his destiny, song by song, concert by concert.
Words cannot express how good I think this kid really is. I hope to get to see what he can do for many years to come.
I was there. David rocked.
Julio, where were all the 12 year old girls? I am 19, waited in line for 6 hours and it was definitely an older crowd.

Thanks for the great pictures!
I can tell you, I’m neither 12 (I’m 31) nor was this my first concert (far from it, been to quite a few) – and I still loved every single second of it, and thought it was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to.
Who needs fireworks, videowalls, dancers, autotune and whatnot, when you get to hear a voice like David Archuleta’s? I certainly don’t. He is supertalented, and entertaining and enthralling without all that stuff.
I came over from Germany to catch the Chicago-show (and some others) and it not only met my my high expectations, it exceeded them by far. One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to.
Can’t wait to see what David Archuleta’s next album will be like and what the future holds in store for him – and us, his fans! He is simply stunning.
Wow those are some great pictures!! What an amazingly humble and talented Young Man!!
DJA FTW!!
