I was going to write and update about Emily, but I decided I am going to let her say it in her own words. Check out our review of Emily’s Cache in the Warehouse Floor here.
I hope you weathered the winter well. I’ve been spending the past month writing songs to gear up for a full year in 2009. We’re working on making the new record “Daytime Fireflies.” I’ll be in touch soon with updates on that and how you can be involved.
In exciting news, my song “Make A Bed” from “A Cache In The Warehouse Floor” was a finalist in the last session of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. This is a big honor for me, and I really have to thank Gregg Ostrom, Scott Ligon, and Gerald Dowd for playing on the tune, and most especially, John Abbey, who not only played on it, but produced a great album. Finally, thanks to all of you for your continual support, which allows me to go on making music.
I have a few shows in the Midwest before heading out East in late spring:
I hope to see you out at a show! If not, drop a line and say hi; it’s always great hearing from you. As always, you can check my blog for updates: www.emilyhurd.com/news.html.
