Fall Out Boy @ Nike+ Human Race 10K
Soldier Field – Chicago, IL
August 31, 2008
Patrick Stump – Vocals/Guitar

Hometown heroes Fall Out Boy had the honor of performing for the runners who participated in Nike’s first ever 10K Human Race last Sunday. As a treat for running the race, those who completed the 10K got to enjoy a free concert from one of most successful bands to come out of Chicago – Fall Out Boy. The boys performed on the same grounds where the Chicago Bears play at Soldier Field. As more and more Human Race participants finished their run, the crowd in front of Fall Out Boy’s stage grew larger and larger. Pretty soon, the audience reached all the way back from the north end of the field, where the stage was located, to the south end! It was a pretty amazing view. People of all ages watched Patrick, Pete, Joe and Andy play songs from their last album, Infinity On High, as well as their classic hits and fan favorites. Those in attendance were also treated to a short snippet (about 30 seconds or less!) of the band’s new single, “I Don’t Care,” before it hits the airwaves sometime later this month. If interested, check out what the complete version of “I Don’t Care” sounds like by streaming it on the band’s MySpace page.
