The crowd was chill, everyone was socializing with drinks in hand. Then the lights went out & everyone went nuts. Kid Rock hit the stage playing Rock and Roll Jesus. I never realized how diverse Kid Rock’s following was. The crowd was a melting pot of baby boomer’s, metal heads, rockers, and hipsters.

The stage was the most elaborate set up I have ever seen. The band was center stage with a runway, ramp platforms on both side of the stage, and an upper deck with two back up singers & a DJ. A shiny gold disco ball lit up the entire arena as if glitter was raining down on us. The show was entertaining & comical with oodles of instrumental solos. While singing “Half Your Age”, Stefanie Eulinberg, Kid Rock’s drummer, chimed in with her own version changing up the lyrics “She’s half your age and twice as hot” to “He’s half your age and twice the cock.” Kid Rock put on a great performance, standing on the DJ’s turn tables while spinning and running around the stage playing a little of everyone’s instruments.

Kid Rock’s music is heavily influenced by Rap, Rock, Honky Tonk, Gospel, & Motown. The show featured the Twisted Brown Trucker band, Peter Wolf, & Rev Run. A variety of wardrobe changes included a white suit & tie with a black button down to a black jump suit with gold trim to jeans & a t-shirt to eventually no shirt at all. (Thank You Jebus!) Overall the show was amazing & I can’t wait to see Kid Rock again.

Here is a listing of songs I remember off the top of my head in no specific order:

Welcome To The Party

Peter Wolf-J. Geils Band “Love Stinks” while throwing flowers into the crowd

I was at that show too and I’ve seen Kid Rock about 6 times and I have to say that this was one of his Best shows.

this was the 3rd time I seen Kid Rock, and I think this concert was the best. The only thing that disappointed me was that there was no encore–what was up with that?

  3. [...] to play live. Speaking of Kid Rock playing live, we have a review of his May show in Chicago over here.      addthis_url = ‘http%3A%2F%2Fthedeadhub.com%2Fkid-rock-goes-digital%2F’; addthis_title = [...]

I’ve been trying to find the lyrics that the drummer song at the concert. Anyone know what they are. I know the last line “He’s half your age and twice the cock.” I’m looking for the rest of the verse. If you could email it to me gwelch2@twcny.rr.com or put it on my myspace/facebook, that would be great!!
