Shara Worden, singer, songwriter, arranger and general mastermind behind indie rock’s My Brightest Diamond, is releasing a new remix album, Shark Remixes and playing a show at Bowery on January 22. The upcoming concert is a celebration of Shark Remixes and copies will be available there, 4 days before its January 26th online release. This record takes a new look at My Brightest Diamond’s phenomenal 2008 sophomore release, A Thousand Shark’s Teeth, deconstructing and re-imagining the songs in incredible new ways. My Brightest Diamond is currently comprised of Worden, drummer Brian Wolfe and bassist Nathan Lithgow all of whom completed an electrifying run of European dates in December. In the live setting the intricate layers of Worden’s songs truly come alive making for an experience that is at once exhilarating and intimate.
