I am so glad the Black Eyed Peas are back! Not only are they back on the music scene, but they are better than ever! I have not seen BEP live in concert since May 2006 when the group headlined that year’s Honda Civic Tour. For the past three years I (and the world!) have been deprived of the fabulous Black Eyed Peas and their insanely catchy songs. It feels good to have Fergie, will.i.am, Taboo, and apl.de.ap back together again rocking out and bringing the “Boom Boom Pow” to the fans and ruling the radio airwaves. The success of Fergie’s solo career and album lead to the crowd being treated to a performance of her hit “Fergalicious,” with a little help from band member will.i.am. The newlywed was in top form last night at the 2009 B96 Pepsi Summer Bash. The diva hit every note and belted her heart out. Fergie really can sing people. No lip-syncing from this chick, thank God. The Black Eyed Peas followed Akon’s performance, where he lip-synced every single song in his set. It was bad; I was actually embarrassed for Akon. But then BEP came out on stage and gave the crowd an amazing show, not leaving anything behind. I mean it, the group truly gave 100% and kicked off summer 2009 with a bang and a boom boom pow! Hope you were there…
